Women's Fall Fashion 2007 Preview

What's "in" for Fall 2007 Fashion? Here are some hints...

It's our favorite time of year here at FashionBlast. We took a vote and fall definitely wins out over any other season. We talked about it for a while and perhaps some of it is due to the fact that the "oldsters" here outnumber the "youngsters". The youngsters feel comfortable in skimpy summer fashions, short-shorts and sleeveless tops, but most of us don't. Remember how happy we were when we saw that longer shorts were in for summer? We think that we're going to have a good time with fall fashions too.

Well, another great thing about fall is the texture of the fabrics used, and the rich colors. We love velvet and corduroy and leather. We love tweeds and animal prints. We love textured hand knit sweaters and vests. There isn't anything not to love!

So what's "in" for Fall 2007 fashions?


You're going to see a lot of wide-leg pants. It seems that a lot of designers like Calvin Klein, INC, BCBG and Kenneth Cole are jumping on the wide-leg pant bandwagon. We like these wide-leg pants because they are flattering for most women. Stacy and Clinton would say that if you have wider hips these wide-leg pants help to balance out your figure. Our particular favorite is the Calvin Klein Birdseye Pant.

Then there's the Fall 2007 jackets. There seems to be no end to the shapes of jackets for fall. Short cropped trapeze jackets seem to be all the rage. We think that the T Tahari silk cropped jacket is particularly lovely, but we're not sure it's for everyone. These short trapeze jackets hit at the waist, not good to wear with pants if you have any bulge. They would be great for anyone who is wearing a flaw hiding A-line dress.

Our favorite handbag is a hobo, and we prefer our hobo in soft buttery leather. We loved this large doctor bag from designer Carlos Falchi, someone we've just heard of. And, we loved this pewter colored hobo bag, also from Carlos Falchi.

We also loved this Furla "Elisabeth" shoulder bag with crocodile texture.











It looks like the shoe bootie is the shoe of the season. We can't believe the number of choices. Leather, suede, buckles, bows and high heels. Designers like Bettye Muller, Dolce Vita, Jeffrey Campbell, Juicy Couture and Michael Kors are offering a wide selection.

Take a look at the metallic shoe offerings. We fell in love with this shiny bronze REPORT Signature 'Bijou' Pump. Nina, Steve Madden, Nine West, Jessica Simpson and others are offering shoes in metallic shades of silver, gold and bronze that will have you shining all the way down to your toes!
