Women's Winter Designer Skirts

Skirts are a big part of our wardrobes. We like to buy skirts because, well, first of all we're girls, but secondly they can easily be dressed up for a special occasion or dressed down for a casual look. If you're wearing a skirt you NEVER EVER have to worry about being "underdressed".

While we were browsing through all the designer offerings for winter 2007-2008 we came upon the collection from Diane Von Furstenberg. At first we weren't sure if we liked what we thought were severity of lines, but the more we looked at them the more we liked them.

The youngersters liked the metallic Katinko skirt. Very young and fresh. Most of us loved the Manola skirt with it's nautical play with buttons and pockets. Another Diane Von Furstenberg skirt we fell in love with was the Gary wool Marta skirt. We weren't sure how much we liked the Donica wide sleeve jacket that is paired with it. The last Diane Von Furstenberg skirt we looked at was the New Marple knit skirt with back yolk, pockets and flattering seaming details.

The Ultimate Suit Skirt

When we saw this skirt we thought it was absolutely ingenious! It's actually called the Ingenuity Suiting Skirt. It's a classic style with front and back darts which give a flat front look, and elastic on the side for comfort. The flat front and knee length will be flattering on every woman. It's a machine wash polyester. What more could you ask? How about color? The Ingenuity Suiting Skirt comes in black, new navy, stone, taupe, red, and ivory. This is the perfect skirt for any careerwear wardrobe. You can find this at Nordstrom.

Leather Skirts

The first leather skirt we found at Bloomingdales. It's a burgundy croc-embossed leather skirt with a back slit. The second black skirt is from Jones New York . Skirt three is an Identify Leather Skirt of lamb leather with a knife pleated hem. Very different ,we really liked this one. The fourth leather skirt is from Elie Tahari.

Pencil Skirts

We liked this Houndstooth skirt from Moschino Cheap & Chic. This pencil skirt is black and ivory stretch cotton and has a pleated panel on the back. Here's another pencil skirt. It' a Vivienne Westwood Anglomania Mangano pencil skirt. We love this wool skirts high waist and fluted hem. You can find both of these skirts at Net-a-Porter.
